LUSTRUM - How-to films
LUSTRUM is a five-year programme of research funded by the National Institute for Health Research (NIHR). The project aims to improve the sexual health of heterosexual people and men who have sex with men (MSM) by preventing transmission of sexually transmitted infections (STIs) and reducing undiagnosed HIV.
The LUSTRUM team developed Accelerated Partner Therapy (APT), a new method of Partner Notification (PN), which builds on past research studies. APT aims to reduce the time taken to inform people that their sexual partner has been diagnosed with an STI or HIV. Diagnosing infections quickly makes it easier to treat infections and prevents new infections.
